Job summary

Quasar Medical (Singapore) Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a production lead to supervise assemblers and team leaders, ensuring safety, discipline, and alignment with production plans.

You will drive KPI performance, coordinate with other departments for root cause analyses, and champion kaizen to reduce scrap and costs. Candidates should have 2–3 years of supervisory experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably medical devices, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in technical field or equivalent; BS preferred.
• 2–3 years lead or supervisory experience in high-volume production, medical devices ideal.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to guide a product-building team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production safety and discipline in the production area.
• Lead and supervise assemblers and team leaders.
• Coordinate with other departments to analyze root causes and implement CAPA.
• Plan production per schedule and monitor progress.
• Drive KPI performance: materials accuracy, yield, efficiency and productivity.
• Troubleshoot and provide feedback to supervisor.
• Promote kaizen to optimize lines, reduce scrap and costs.
• Allocate resources: manpower, equipment, materials.
• Maintain records and document management for line integrity.
• Support company activities and programs.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Monitor the production safety and discipline of production area. Involve and support Health and Safety programs (DWB, BBS, H&S meetings).
• Monitor operator’s daily work in workshop; Manage the discipline and 6S in production section.
• Arrange the production according to production plan, and monitor the progress.
• Drive department performance to meet Production KPI’s may include but not limited to Materials Accuracy, Yield, Efficiency and Productivity.
• Troubleshooting and promptly feedback to superior.
• Coordinate with other departments to analyze the root cause of defective products, and take corrective and preventive action to avoid the same problem happen repeatedly.
• Responsible for the allocation of resource for production lines, including manpower, equipment, materials
• Monitor’s records/ database and document management in production line integrity, accuracy and effectiveness.
• Propose kaizen suggestions, optimize production line, promote efficiency, and reduce scrap and costs.
• Deal with other assignments assigned by superior.
• Supervise assemblers and Team Leaders. Motivate, coach, and support the team in meeting the expectations
• Participate and encourage the team to support company activities and program

Education/Experience and Qualifications:

• Diploma or certificate in technical field or equivalent work experience, BS preferred, with 2-3yrs lead or supervisory experience in a high-volume production environment, preferably in Medical Device Manufacturing.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrate leadership capabilities and possess the ability to lead a team of product builders
