Job summary

JU HUAT FOOD PTE. LTD. is hiring a Production Supervisor to oversee daily food manufacturing operations, ensuring targets, safety, quality, and efficient manpower deployment. You will monitor processes, enforce SOPs, and coordinate with QA, Warehouse and Maintenance to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, strong leadership, and a good understanding of food safety, GMP, HACCP, and SFA requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE N/O Level, NITEC, Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2-3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, food production or a related manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime when operationally required.

Job Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily food manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, food safety standards, product quality, manpower deployment, and workplace safety requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Plan and allocate manpower according to production schedules and operational requirements.
• Monitor production output, productivity, wastage, and downtime to achieve daily production targets.
• Ensure all food products are manufactured according to company specifications, SOPs, recipes, and quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, HACCP, GMP and relevant SFA requirements.
• Conduct regular checks on production areas, machinery, equipment, cleanliness, temperature control and staff hygiene.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and movement of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products.
• Monitor production records and ensure all required forms, checklists and documentation are properly completed.
• Coordinate with QA, Warehouse, Maintenance, Logistics and other departments to resolve production or operational issues.
• Identify production problems and take immediate corrective action to minimise delays and wastage.
• Train, guide and supervise production workers on work procedures, food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements.
• Monitor staff attendance, performance, discipline and compliance with company policies.
• Ensure machines and equipment are operated safely and report breakdowns or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Support stock control and ensure production materials are used efficiently.
• Assist management in improving production processes, productivity, manpower utilisation and cost efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health requirements.
• Handle any other duties assigned by management in relation to factory and production operations.

Job Requirements

• Minimum GCE N/O Level, NITEC, Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2-3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, food production or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience supervising production workers and managing daily manpower deployment.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Familiarity with SFA requirements and food manufacturing practices in Singapore will be an advantage.
• Able to monitor production schedules, output, wastage and operational efficiency.
• Able to troubleshoot day-to-day production and manpower issues independently.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in production areas, including chilled or temperature-controlled environments where required.
• Able to work shifts, weekends, public holidays and overtime when operationally required.
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to complete production reports and documentation.
• Able to communicate effectively with workers from different nationalities.
• Candidates with Food Safety, HACCP, WSQ or relevant manufacturing certifications will have an added advantage.
