Job summary

TALENTS RECRUITER PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a capable Production Supervisor to support the Production Manager. You will help plan, coordinate and control production, ensuring safety, quality, cost, productivity and delivery targets are met across the department in Singapore.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, plan schedules, monitor progress, coordinate with Sales, Design and QA, and provide technical guidance on IPQC and assembly methods.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in switchboard or electrical panel products.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, coordinate across departments, and communicate effectively with workers and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating production to meet safety, quality, cost, productivity and delivery goals.
• Oversee daily production operations and execute the production plan.
• Plan and schedule work per orders, drawings, materials and delivery dates.
• Monitor progress, identify delays, coordinate recovery actions and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate manpower, machinery, materials and subcontracted work for smooth workflow.
• Plan material requirements and ensure timely arrival of materials.
• Clarify drawings, specs and quality requirements with Sales, Design and QA.
• Provide guidance on IPQC, workmanship, assembly methods and standards.
• Issue clear production instructions and maintain communication with team.
• Identify training needs and coordinate technical and safety training.
• Enforce safe work procedures and risk assessments for production.
• Plan preventive maintenance and improvements for production equipment.
• Assist in job costing, budgeting and expense monitoring.
• Monitor production performance and report on schedule, productivity and costs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

Support the Production Manager (HOD) in planning, coordinating and controlling production so that safety, quality, cost, productivity and delivery objectives are achieved.

• Assist the Production Manager (HOD) in overseeing day-to-day Production Department operations and executing the production plan.
• Plan and schedule assigned production work in accordance with customer orders, approved drawings, material availability and committed delivery dates.
• Monitor production progress, identify constraints or delays, coordinate recovery actions and escape significant risks promptly.
• Coordinate manpower, machinery, materials and subcontracted work to achieve effective utilization and smooth workflow.
• Plan and follow up production material requirements, stock availability and timely arrival of materials for assigned jobs.
• Liaise with Sales, Design and QA personnel to clarify drawings, specifications, quality requirements and technical issues.
• Provide technical guidance to production workers and subcontractors on in-process quality check (IPQC), workmanship, assembly methods and required work standards.
• Issue clear production instructions and maintain effective communication with supervisors, foremen, workers and supporting departments.
• Identify training needs and coordinate technical, workmanship, quality, safety and process training for production personnel.
• Implement and reinforce safe work procedures and risk assessments for production activities, and ensure identified controls are followed.
• Plan, coordinate and follow up preventive maintenance, servicing, repairs and improvement work for production equipment and machinery.
• Assist in job costing, budget control and monitoring of production revenue and expenses within the assigned scope.
• Monitor and report production performance, including schedule achievement, productivity, manpower utilization, quality, cost and other relevant indicators.
