Job summary

ESI an MKS Brand in Singapore is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee our laser manufacturing department. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate laser operations (cutting, engraving, welding, and additive processes), and ensure daily output meets safety, quality, and schedule targets.

You will monitor equipment performance, drive preventive maintenance, enforce ISO standards, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance and Maintenance to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• Experience overseeing laser manufacturing operations and supervision of technicians.
• Strong knowledge of laser cutting, engraving, welding, or additive manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and ISO standards.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and recommend process improvements for greater efficiency and reduced downtime.
• Train and develop team members in laser build/repairs and maintaining quality standards.
• Inspect materials and finished products for adherence to specifications.

• Maintain production records, reporting metrics such as quality, scrap rates, downtime, and output.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives within the department.
• Manage inventory of indirect materials, consumables, and finished goods related to laser operations.
• Address personnel issues including timekeeping, performance reviews, and discipline where necessary.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of laser systems (fiber lasers, CO₂ lasers, YAG lasers, etc.) and their applications in manufacturing.
