Job summary

Applied Micro Tech Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Production Technician to support daily manufacturing operations, ensure targets, quality, safety and discipline are met. The role involves process improvements, equipment enhancements, and efficient manpower allocation within a semiconductor environment.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose issues, and maintain accurate records while adhering to ISO quality systems and the company’s QMS.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering as required.
• Basic knowledge of ISO quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and manufacturing quality practices.
• Experience in wafer fabrication or semiconductor manufacturing is advantageous but not required.
• Basic knowledge of equipment troubleshooting, electrical systems, or automation.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, or equipment manuals is an advantage.
• Positive attitude and a team-player.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily manufacturing operations to meet production targets, quality, safety and discipline.
• Proactively suggest and implement process improvements and equipment enhancement initiatives.
• Optimise process flow and manpower allocation of manufacturing operations.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment or process issues.
• Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant ISO standards.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance and escalate abnormalities for timely resolution.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and production tools.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and technical documentation.
• Handle and move parts weighing up to 15 kg.

Production:

• Some working experience inwafer fabrication or semiconductor manufacturingis advantageous (but not required).
• Basic knowledge ofequipment troubleshooting, electrical systems, or automation.
• Ability to readtechnical drawings, schematics, or equipment manualsis an advantage.
• Positive attitude and a team-player.
