MURATA ELECTRONICS SINGAPORE (PTE) LTD is seeking an experienced Production Process Improvement Engineer to enhance quality, efficiency and manufacturing cost in our Singapore facility. You will provide hands-on technical training for local staff and collaborate with Japan HQ to drive projects and improvements.

Key duties include improving post-process quality, driving cost reductions, transferring new technologies from Japan, and coordinating with Japan-based factories to ensure timely

Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's in engineering relevant to manufacturing.
2+ years in electronics manufacturing industry.
Proficient in Japanese and English for coordination with Japan-based factories.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Policy, strategy alignment and coordination of projects by collaborating with Japan HQ or other group company in Japan.
To initiate periodical meetings with Japan HQ or other group company to solve problems in own Division.
To improve quality of products in view of post-process.
To propel cost reduction of products.
To improve manufacturing post-process efficiency.
To transfer new technologies from Japan factories.
To be a bridge between Japan factories to get necessary information timely and implement into production factory.
To grasp new technology and make improvement proposals in quality, cost, efficiency and safety.

POSITION PROFILE

This position is to help with improvement for Production Processes & products in terms of quality, efficiency and manufacturing cost.

To give hands-on & technical training for Production Processes to local operational staff.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Policy, strategy alignment and coordination of projects by collaborating with Japan HQ or other group company in Japan.

To initiate periodical meetings with Japan HQ or other group company to solve problems in own Division.

To improve quality of products in view of post-process.

To improve manufacturing post-process efficiency.

To transfer new technologies from Japan factories.

To be a bridge between Japan factories to get necessary information timely and implement into production factory.

Ability/Competency required

Bachelor’s Degree or master's degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Production Engineering, Material Science or other relevant engineering disciplines.

At least 2 years of working experience in electronics manufacturing industry.

To have deep & specialized technical knowledge in production and be able to fully utilize it in actual job for improvement.

Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English is required to support regular work-related communication and coordination with Japan-based factories and R&D departments, as well as local staff at the Murata Singapore factory.
