Job summary

PERSOL in Singapore is seeking a Production Engineer on a 1-year contract (renewable/ convertible) to support the Engineering Design department during product development. Working location is Rifle Range Army Camp, near King Albert Park, with Mon-Fri 7:30am–5:15pm and cover shifts if required.

You will design tooling, fixtures, gauges, optimize processes, lead OJT for staff, and prepare technical docs while ensuring health, safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in manufacturing/production.
• Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering Design during product development with technical and manufacturing input.
• Design production tooling, fixtures, and gauges for new product introduction.
• Evaluate and optimize processes to improve productivity, quality and cost.
• Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate preventive maintenance.
• Assist in production trials and coordinate process capability studies.
• Prepare technical specifications, source suppliers, and oversee installation of new machinery.
• Provide On-the-Job Training to production staff on procedures and standards.
• Maintain and update technical documentation and commissioning reports.
• Monitor production, drive continuous improvement, and ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed.
