Job summary

PERSOL is hiring a production engineer on a 1 year contract at Boon Lay, Singapore. You will support Engineering Design, develop tooling and gauges, and drive process improvements for new product introductions.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Industrial Engineering with at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, and basic CAD skills (SolidWorks). On-site work, Mon-Fri with occasional cover shifts, and a completion bonus are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in manufacturing/production.
• Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Basic proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Engineering Design department during the product development phase by providing technical and manufacturing expertise
• Design and develop production tooling, fixtures, and gauges to support new product introduction and manufacturing requirements
• Evaluate and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
• Identify production bottlenecks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime
• Assist in production trial runs and collaborate with the Quality Control team to conduct process capability studies and validate manufacturing processes
• Prepare technical specifications, conduct supplier sourcing, and oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
• Conduct On-the-Job Training (OJT) for production personnel to ensure compliance with established manufacturing procedures and operational standards
• Prepare, maintain, and update technical documentation, including certifications, approvals, commissioning reports, and machine operating procedures
• Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing operations
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a safe working environment
