Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on Precision Machining Engineer to lead process improvements in Mazak machining, tooling and fixtures for better productivity and quality. You will work with shopfloor operators to optimise cycle times and machine utilisation.

The role requires a Diploma or Degree in Precision Machining or Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience in a precision engineering environment, and proficiency in SolidWorks and CAM tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Precision Machining or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3–5 years in a precision engineering environment.
• Familiar with milling, turning, lathes, grinding, and sheetmetal operations.
• Familiar with welding, sheetmetal work and surface treatment.
• Proficient in mechanical software such as SolidWorks, MasterCAM or HyperMill.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills on manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive machining process improvements to optimise cycle time, tooling, setup efficiency, process stability, quality, and manufacturing costs
• Provide hands-on technical support to resolve daily production issues, troubleshoot machining problems, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Take ownership of Mazak machining processes, tooling, fixtures, process control, and job loading coordination to optimise machine utilisation and production output
• Work closely with operators on shopfloor process optimisation
• Design and improve machining fixtures, coordinate fabrication, and follow up on testing, validation, and implementation
• Lead and follow up on CI and Six Sigma projects focusing on productivity, quality, waste reduction, setup time, and manufacturing efficiency
• Analyse ERP production data to identify performance gaps, process inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
• Drive data-driven corrective actions and CI initiatives
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve operational issues and ensure smooth production execution

About the role

About you
