seeks a Production Engineer to support the Engineering Design department during product development, designing tooling, fixtures, and gauges to meet manufacturing requirements and help optimize processes for productivity and quality. The role requires a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Industrial Engineering, at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, and basic CAD skills (SolidWorks).

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design during product development with technical and manufacturing input.
• Design and develop production tooling, fixtures, and gauges for new products.
• Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes for productivity, quality, and cost.
• Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot equipment, and coordinate corrective maintenance.
• Assist in production trials and collaborate on process capability studies.
• Prepare specifications, source suppliers, and oversee installation and commissioning of machinery.
• On-the-Job training for production personnel to ensure compliance with procedures.
• Maintain technical documentation and certifications.
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental compliance.

Job description

1 year contract (renewable/ convertible)

Working Location: Boon Lay

Working Hours: Mon-Fri (7.30am - 5.15pm) + Cover shift if required

Salary range: up to $3800 + Completion Bonus

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the Engineering Design department during the product development phase by providing technical and manufacturing expertise
• Design and develop production tooling, fixtures, and gauges to support new product introduction and manufacturing requirements
• Evaluate and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness
• Identify production bottlenecks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime
• Assist in production trial runs and collaborate with the Quality Control team to conduct process capability studies and validate manufacturing processes
• Prepare technical specifications, conduct supplier sourcing, and oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
• Conduct On-the-Job Training (OJT) for production personnel to ensure compliance with established manufacturing procedures and operational standards
• Prepare, maintain, and update technical documentation, including certifications, approvals, commissioning reports, and machine operating procedures
• Monitor production performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing operations
• Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations while promoting a safe working environment

Job Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Industrial Engineering
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in manufacturing/production industry
• Basic ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Basic proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks
