YAMAZAKI MAZAK SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking an experienced Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineer to provide hands-on engineering support for production escalations and tooling development. The role focuses on optimizing layouts, reducing setup times, and ensuring smooth cross-functional collaboration across Production, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years in manufacturing engineering, strong CAD skills (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), and familiarity with CNC/MES systems,

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or tooling development.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Familiarity with CNC machines, MES systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with automation and Industry 4.0 technologies is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide immediate engineering support for production escalations and machine-related issues.
• Design, validate, and maintain jigs, fixtures, and tooling for machining and assembly processes.
• Optimize workstation layouts and material flow to improve ergonomics and efficiency.
• Conduct setup time reduction studies, SPC analysis and implement Standard Time Hours (STH) improvements.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Maintenance and Supply Chain teams for coordinated operations.
• Maintain BOMs, technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering change records.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Support audits and certification processes related to manufacturing operations.
• Act as a liaison for daily stakeholder coordination and operational alignment.
• Assist in new model integration and technology transfer from D&D or HQ.
• Utilize digital tools to analyse production data and support data-driven decision-making.
• Provide technical training and mentorship to production staff and engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide immediate engineering support for production escalations and machine-related issues.

7. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
8. Support audits and certification processes related to manufacturing operations.
9. Act as a liaison for daily stakeholder coordination and operational alignment.
10. Assist in new model integration and technology transfer from D&D or HQ.
11. Utilize digital tools and manufacturing software to analyse production data, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making and smart manufacturing initiatives.
12. Provide technical training and mentorship to production staff and junior engineers, documenting best practices and lessons learned.
