Job summary

Hydra X is hiring an AI Engineer to design, build and operate AI systems for compliance, client onboarding and daily operations within a regulated financial environment.

You will deploy scalable AI solutions, create ETL pipelines for large documents, and implement retrieval-augmented generation with traceable outputs. Collaboration with AI infra and compliance teams is essential for production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years in AI roles
• Experience deploying AI systems into production, not just prototypes
• Proficiency in Python with LangGraph or CrewAI, vector databases and model APIs
• Experience designing evaluation and failure‑mode testing for AI systems
• Cloud deployment, infrastructure as code and CI/CD knowledge
• Regulatory software delivery experience an advantage

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and optimise AI and ML systems in production, including scale, latency and cost
• Create pipelines for ETL of large volumes of unstructured data into retrieval and inference workflows
• Implement retrieval-augmented generation with document curation and citation controls
• Design multi-agent orchestration and human-in-the-loop routing for regulatory workflows
• Run experiments to evaluate performance and build evaluation frameworks including failure-mode testing
• Diagnose and resolve defects in deployed systems
• Collaborate with infra on deployment, orchestration, vector stores and cloud services
• Implement guardrails, immutable audit logging and RBAC in regulated environments
• Collaborate with compliance, operations, product and engineering to move from prototype to production
