Job summary

Dyson Singapore is seeking a Product Technician to support automated manufacturing lines at our Pioneer facility in Singapore. You will assist in engineering evaluations, run DOE/GR&R studies, analyze data to identify root causes, and support New Product Introduction and line improvements.

You will provide technical support to production, perform first-line troubleshooting, document new processes, and help drive quality and yield with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years in an automated line environment.
• Basic knowledge of machine components used in automated manufacturing lines.
• Ability to troubleshoot process and product issues using established procedures.
• Ability to distinguish coloured wires, signals, indicators, or labels for safety.
• Flexibility and initiative to pre-empt problems.
• Collaborative with clear knowledge sharing.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering evaluations and conduct in-depth process capability studies (DOE/GR&R).
• Use data analysis to identify root causes of issues.
• Assist in Product Failure Analysis and Root Cause Finding.
• Assist in executing control builds for New Product Introduction and new components.
• Participate in introduction and improvement projects.
• Provide engineering and technical support to operations to improve quality and yield.
• Write documents on procedures for new processes.
• Provide first-level troubleshooting to resolve production stoppages.
• Participate in line variant conversions, setup and patrol activities.
• Production line reject verification and disposition.
• Control scrap per Scrap Control procedures.
• Assist in evaluations, control runs, change control, RCA, line improvement projects.

Job description

Dyson Singapore is currently looking for a Product Technician to be based in our Singapore Advanced Manufacturing facility located in Pioneer to support our automated manufacturing lines.

About the role

• Assist in Engineering evaluations in conduct in-depth process capability studies for Productivity and Quality improvement using DOE and GR&R.
• Using Data analysis software to identify the root cause of the issues.
• Assist in Product Failure Analysis and Root Cause Finding.
• Assist in executing control build from requirement of New Product Introduction, New Component.
• Introduction and improvement project.
• Provide engineering & technical support to operations team to improve overall quality and yield and work with functional groups to resolve rejects & scrap.
• Write documents on procedures for new processes.
• Provide technical support to production operation in meeting output & quality.
• Provide first level trouble shooting & resolve production stoppages due to process & product issues.
• Participate in line variant conversion/set-up and line patrol activities.
• Production Line reject, verify and disposition.
• To control and maintain the scrap according to Scrap Control Escalation Procedure/ OCAP.
• Assist in engineering evaluations, control run, change control, root cause analysis, line improvement Project and data gathering/ compilation.

About you

• At least 3 years of work experience in an automated line environment. ITC or Diploma in Mechatronic/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering - minimum requirement
• Basic knowledge of machine and equipment components used in automated manufacturing lines.
• Ability to troubleshoot process and product issues using established procedures
• Ability to distinguish between coloured wires, signals, indicators, or labels, which is required and critical for safe performance of duties.
• Flexibility and initiative. You pre-empt problems and seize opportunities without waiting to be told.
• Collaborative working. You consistently share your knowledge and findings with others in a clear and accessible way.
• Willing to work shifts and overtime. Passion for solving and resolving issues.
