The Future of Finance Institute (FFI) is Singapore’s national centre for financial innovation and brings together public and private sector stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of emerging technologies, and advance capability building and industry collaboration. FFI develops and drives solutions, implementation pathways, frameworks, standards and programmes across areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital assets, and next-generation financial data and infrastructure. Through its work, FFI helps industry participants translate technological advances into practical capabilities and supports the long-term development of Singapore's financial services ecosystem.
What The Role Is
We are looking for a Product Manager to build and grow FFI’s Trust Frameworks pillar. The pillar develops reusable frameworks, toolkits, and open-source reference implementations that help institutions apply trustworthy and auditable controls to AI driven and other critical systems.
You will own products from initial concept through launch and iteration. This includes identifying user needs, defining requirements, setting priorities, shaping product roadmaps, and working with technical teams and industry contributors to deliver.
This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who enjoys building new products in emerging areas. You should be comfortable working with ambiguity and translating complex technical and operational needs into clear product decisions.
What You'll Do:
Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Define and prioritize the product roadmap for the Trust Frameworks pillar, working with FFI leadership and industry stakeholders.
- Identify common industry needs that can be addressed through common frameworks, toolkits, reference implementations, and related products.
- Define clear use cases, users, requirements, and outcomes for individual products.
- Determine the capabilities required and how they can be delivered through FFI, solution partners, open-source contributions, or existing technologies.
- Monitor developments in AI, digital finance, technology governance, assurance and relevant standards to inform product priorities.
Product Development
- Translate industry needs into clear product requirements, specifications, and delivery priorities.
- Shape practical governance frameworks and tools that institutions can apply to AI driven and other critical systems.
- Work with solution partners and technical contributors to develop reference implementations that demonstrate how controls can be implemented and made auditable.
- Ensure frameworks, tools, and reference implementations are designed to work together and can be reused across relevant use cases.
- Balance usability, technical feasibility, governance objectives, and industry requirements when making product decisions.
- Make product decisions and trade-offs that balance user needs, technical feasibility, governance objectives and delivery constraints.
Product Deliver
- Lead end-to-end delivery across an ecosystem of solution partners, technology providers, governance specialists and industry contributors.
- Set clear product requirements and delivery priorities and coordinate the parties responsible for developing and integrating frameworks, toolkits, and reference implementations.
- Oversee testing, validation, documentation, release, and iteration to ensure products are practical, robust, and usable by financial institutions and contributors.
- Track delivery across partners, surface dependencies, risks, and trade-offs early, and adapt plans as priorities evolve.
Industry and Partner Engagement
- Engage financial institutions, solution partners, technology providers, and other contributors to understand needs, validate requirements, and inform product priorities.
- Identify and bring together partners with the capabilities needed to develop, integrate, and contribute to FFI products.
- Work with institutions and integrators to support the adoption, configuration, and extension of frameworks, toolkits, and reference implementations for their use cases.
- Represent the needs of users and open-source contributors in product decisions, ensuring documentation, test kits, examples, and contribution processes are clear and accessible.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Systems or a related discipline.
Experience and Skills
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in product management, preferably involving technology products, governance tools, developer products, platforms, or enterprise technology.
- Experience taking products from problem definition and requirements through development, delivery, and iteration.
- Experience translating business, user, technical, and governance needs into clear product requirements and priorities.
- Experience working with technology providers, solution partners, engineering teams, or external contributors to develop technology products.
- Sufficient technical understanding to work effectively on products involving AI, data, APIs, systems integration, or related technologies.
- Ability to translate governance and assurance requirements into practical product capabilities.
- Experience coordinating dependencies and delivery across multiple stakeholders or contributors.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience developing governance frameworks, technical standards, assurance tools, or assessment methodologies in the financial industry.
- Experience with AI governance, AI assurance, model evaluation, model risk, or responsible AI.
- Experience with open-source products, reference implementations, or developer communities.
- Experience coordinating delivery across multiple technology or solution partners.
- Experience in a start-up, newly established, or rapidly growing organization.
Personal Attributes
- Takes ownership and drives work independently, while collaborating effectively within the product and engineering team.
- Is comfortable operating with ambiguity and enjoys structuring problems in a fast-evolving space.
- Demonstrates strong product judgement, curiosity, and a genuine interest in technology governance and assurance.
- Can engage confidently with financial institutions, technology providers, engineers, developers, and other industry stakeholders.
- Enjoys building new capabilities and ways of working in a growing organisation.
- Is detail oriented and able to balance speed of delivery with the rigour expected of a governance focused product.
