The Future of Finance Institute (FFI) is being established as an industry platform that brings together financial institutions, FinTechs, technology firms and research partners to support the adoption of emerging technologies across Singapore's financial sector. FFI's work spans areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital assets and next-generation financial infrastructure. It aims to help industry participants translate technological advances into practical capabilities, strengthen implementation pathways and support the long-term development of Singapore's financial ecosystem.
What The Role Is
We are looking for a Product Manager to help build and grow the Platforms pillar — a portfolio of industry demonstration environments and sandbox products that enable institutions to experiment with and deploy AI agents, integrate multiple services, and interact with distributed ledger systems. You will own individual products within the pillar end-to-end, responsible for all aspects of the product lifecycle from problem scoping and requirements definition, through prototyping and delivery, to stakeholder and contributor engagement.
This is a broad, hands-on role where you will own all aspects of the product lifecycle — from problem scoping and requirements definition, through prototyping and delivery, to stakeholder and contributor engagement. The role suits individuals who are comfortable working across ambiguity, enjoy translating complex technical and operational concepts into clear product decisions, and are energized by building new capabilities in a growing organization.
This is an opportunity to join a newly established organization, shape technology solutions from an early stage, and contribute to challenges that extend beyond any single institution or company. You will work at the intersection of technology, finance and industry development, helping to strengthen Singapore's position as a leading global financial centre.
What You'll Do:
Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Define and prioritise the product roadmap for the Platforms pillar, in collaboration with product leadership and engineering leads.
- Identify and scope new sandbox or platform products that enable institutions to experiment with and deploy AI agents, integrate services, or interact with distributed ledger systems.
- Monitor developments in AI, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems and relevant industry trends to inform product priorities.
Requirements, Architecture and Prototyping
- Translate strategic priorities into clear product requirements, user stories and technical specifications for engineering and design teams.
- Work closely with engineers to define data pipeline architecture, system integration points, and operational infrastructure requirements for sandbox environments.
- Scope and design requirements around data handling, integration, and operational reliability across platform components (agent builders, service integration, distributed ledger interaction).
Delivery and Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, design and infrastructure teams to plan, prioritise and deliver product increments, balancing speed with the operational rigour required of production platforms.
- Coordinate testing, documentation and release activities for new sandbox products or platform components, ensuring they are usable by both internal teams and external contributors.
- Track delivery progress, surface risks or trade-offs early, and help the team adapt plans as priorities evolve.
Stakeholder, Contributor and Partner Engagement
- Engage internal stakeholders, external contributors and institution partners to gather requirements, validate assumptions and incorporate feedback into the product roadmap.
- Support institutions and developers in understanding how to use, extend or integrate with relevant sandbox products and platform components.
- Represent the needs of open-source contributors and external developers in product decisions, helping ensure the developer experience and documentation remains clear and accessible.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
Experience and Skills
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in product management, preferably with software, cloud, infrastructure or technology products.
- Experience defining product and technical requirements for systems involving data pipelines, integration architecture, or cloud infrastructure.
- Experience translating business, technical and user needs into clear product requirements, specifications or user stories.
- Experience working closely with engineering teams to scope, prototype and validate product concepts, such as through early prototypes or proofs of concept.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-evolving space.
The following would be advantageous:
- Experience with machine learning operations (MLOps), data engineering, or designing systems for data handling and integration.
- Experience or familiarity with AI agents, agent frameworks, or large language model applications.
- Experience or familiarity with distributed ledger technology or blockchain systems.
- Experience in a start-up, newly established or rapidly growing organization.
Personal Attributes
- Takes ownership and drives work independently, while collaborating effectively within the product and engineering team.
- Is comfortable operating with ambiguity and enjoys structuring problems in a fast-evolving space.
- Demonstrates strong product judgement, curiosity, and a genuine interest in technology platforms and infrastructure.
- Communicates effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including engineers, infrastructure specialists, contributors and institutional partners.
- Enjoys building new capabilities and ways of working in a growing organisation.
- Is detail-oriented and able to balance speed of delivery with the operational rigor expected of production platforms.
As part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.
