Job description

The Government Technology Agency (GovTech) aims to transform the delivery of Government digital services and products by taking an \"outside-in\" view, putting citizens and businesses at the heart of everything we do. We also develop the Smart Nation infrastructure and applications and facilitate collaboration with citizens and businesses to co‑develop technologies. Join us as we support Singapore’s vision of building a Smart Nation - a nation of possibilities empowered through info‑communications technology and related engineering. Do you want to apply your skills, knowledge and energy to implement cutting‑edge Infocomm Technology and digital solutions that will change the lives of Singaporeans and the public? In GovTech, you can!

Product Managers make sure that the right things get done so that our digital products meet user needs and continuously remain relevant. At a high level, this means establishing a clear vision for what a product should be and what is needed to get there. On a day-to-day basis, this means handling all the different facets of a product and making sure they are coordinated – across user needs, technical constraints, and design goals.

The Finance ERP Product Manager is responsible for the success of the organisation's finance ERP platform by defining its vision and strategy in alignment with finance operations and regulatory requirements. The Product Manager is accountable for outcomes across the full product lifecycle — from discovery and requirements definition through to delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement. This role requires at least 3 years of product management experience, preferably in enterprise finance systems or ERP platforms, with strong analytical skills and a proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams spanning finance, IT, and operations. It also demands experience managing complex, organisation-wide digital systems with significant process and compliance implications.

What you will be working on
  • Define and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for the finance ERP platform, aligned with finance operations needs, audit and compliance requirements, and broader organisational goals.
  • Lead discovery activities including user research, finance stakeholder interviews, and process walkthroughs to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and unmet needs across finance workflows such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data — including system usage metrics, finance process KPIs, and audit findings — to guide product decisions and measure the impact of improvements.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that account for finance business rules, data integrity standards, and integration dependencies with upstream and downstream systems.
  • Identify and manage risks across the product lifecycle, including data migration risks, system integration failures, compliance gaps, and change management challenges, and maintain the risk register accordingly.
  • Prioritise and maintain the product backlog, balancing regulatory and compliance-driven requirements against operational improvements and strategic enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with finance operations, IT/engineering, enterprise architecture, internal audit, and policy teams to ensure the ERP platform meets both functional and governance requirements.
  • Communicate product roadmap updates, system change impacts, and go‑live timelines to senior finance leadership, CFO office, and key stakeholders, managing expectations across multiple workstreams.
  • Plan and execute ERP releases and feature rollouts, including user acceptance testing coordination, training needs assessment, and post‑launch hypercare; monitor adoption and iterate based on user feedback and system performance.
What we are looking for
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, with preference for experience in ERP systems (SAP Preferred), enterprise finance platforms, or finance process digitalisation.
  • Strong understanding of core finance processes and concepts such as the procure‑to‑pay cycle, record‑to‑report, financial controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive alignment across finance, IT, and operations stakeholders with differing priorities.
  • Experience with ERP implementation or enhancement programmes, including familiarity with change management, data migration, and system integration considerations.
  • Strong technical fluency to engage with enterprise architects and engineers on system design, API integrations, data models, and technical constraints typical of ERP environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex finance and technical concepts for diverse audiences including senior leadership and end users
