Job summary

GovTech Singapore in Singapore seeks a Product Manager to lead delivery within the Digital Accelerator Unit, balancing hands‑on development with strategic direction. You will shape product vision, manage stakeholders, and drive cross‑functional teams toward impactful outcomes while upholding government security requirements.

You will translate user needs into actionable stories, maintain the backlog and roadmap, and communicate progress to diverse partners.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of product management experience.
• Experience in a start‑up environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience managing stakeholders effectively.
• Track record of working with cross‑functional teams and shipping impactful products.
• Technical background in CS or similar.
• Experience guiding teams through ambiguity and tough trade‑offs.
• Scrum Master or Product Owner certification.

Responsibilities

As a Product Manager in the Digital Accelerator Unit, you will need to balance hands‑on product delivery with strategic thinking. We are looking for someone who can execute well while also setting direction and managing stakeholders effectively.

The Role Covers 3 Main Areas

Vision & Strategy

You will help shape what our products should become and figure out how to get there. This means creating a clear vision backed by solid data and working out the steps to make it happen.

Communication

Once you’ve got your vision sorted, you will need to sell it. You’ll be convincing stakeholders – to get behind your ideas. Strong communication skills and deep product knowledge are essential here.

Execution

You will lead the product team to actually deliver on that vision. This means making tough calls about what to prioritise, balancing security, technical constraints, design needs, and product goals. You will also need to keep everyone aligned and moving in the same direction.

What you will be doing

• Work with Product Lead / Programme Manager to create vision and strategy
• Evaluate new product opportunities and pitch new capabilities based on data and user needs
• Lead cross‑functional teams of engineers, data specialists, designers, and operation experts with an inclusive approach that values diverse perspectives
• Manage the product backlog and roadmap, prioritising based on business value and user impact
• Navigate bottlenecks and make trade‑offs between business needs, user requirements and technical constraints
• Present roadmaps and updates to stakeholders regularly.
• Build short‑term plans that ladder up to long‑term goals
• Product Delivery
• Handle user stories, acceptance criteria and product requirements using JIRA, Trello and Confluence
• Gather business and user requirements and turn them into development‑ready user stories
• Keep documentation current, including project plans and risk logs
• Manage sprint planning and backlog prioritisation
• Ensure everything meets IM8 and government security standards

What we are looking for

• 3 – 5 years of product management experience
• Product management experience in a start‑up environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Sharp analytical and problem‑solving abilities
• Experience managing stakeholder effectively
• Proven track record working with cross‑functional teams and foster inclusive environments
• Track record of shipping impactful product or feature
• Strong product sense and intuition
• Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort with ambitious goals in a fast‑moving environment
• Technical background in Computer Science or similar
• Experience building self‑serve, scalable products
• Experience guiding teams through ambiguous situations and tough trade‑off decisions
• Scrum Master or Product Owner certification
