Job summary

Hello Group is seeking aProduct Manager for Tantan, based in Singapore. You will own end-to-end product areas, driving activation, retention, monetization, and social networking experiences while leading cross-functional teams.

This hybrid role reports to the Head of Product and blends strategic thinking with rigorous data analysis. The position emphasizes strong SQL/A/B testing, stakeholder management, and user-centric design, with responsibilities spanning roadmap, specs, and go-to-market

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a Product Manager in consumer tech (mobile apps preferred).
• Proven track record of shipping features that moved core metrics (retention, conversion).
• Mastery of SQL, A/B testing, and making decisions with data.
• Strategic mindset: break long-term goals into executable roadmaps.
• Leadership DNA: decisiveness, prioritization clarity, and stakeholder influence.
• Exceptional communication (English fluency; Mandarin a plus).
• Deep interest in dating apps. Interest in social networks and gaming apps a plus.

Responsibilities

Our Singapore Regional Headquarters, Hello Planet Pte Ltd, supports a team of approximately 50 people and coordinates hiring across several APAC markets.

About the Role

Tantan is seeking a Product Manager who will own medium-to-large product areas end-to-end, driving business outcomes through strategic thinking, data mastery, and cross-functional leadership. You’ll define compelling user experiences that elevate activation, retention, gamification, social networking, trust and safety, and monetization.

This role will be based in Singapore and report directly to the Head of Product.

Hybrid working: 3 days in office, 2 days from home.

Office Location: VisionCrest Orchard.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Ownership

• Own the product roadmap for your domain, aligning it with company goals and metric levers.
• Make high-impact decisions with 80% information, balancing long-term vision with short-term execution.
• Drive business outcomes by overseeing medium/large projects (e.g., feature suites, growth loops).
• Decipher insights from complex qualitative/quantitative data (user studies, SQL/BI dashboards, A/B tests).
• Master SQL, Excel, and BI tools to diagnose problems and prescribe solutions.
• Design and analyse A/B tests to validate hypotheses and iterate ruthlessly.

Product Execution

• Master the feature lifecycle: Ideation → PRDs with expected outcomes → Go-to-market → Analysis → Iteration.
• Write airtight specs and user stories, ensuring clarity for engineering/design teams.
• Unblock teams creatively—anticipate risks, manage timelines, and rally stakeholders.
• Lead brainstorming sessions to generate innovative solutions.
• Review designs with an expert eye, providing actionable feedback grounded in user psychology.
• Synthesize insights from surveys, interviews, and usability studies.
• Coach junior PMs on best practices and strategic thinking.
• Foster team trust through clear goal-setting, proactive communication, and conflict resolution.
• Balance process and flexibility—know when to enforce rigor vs. adapt.

Qualifications
