Job summary

KLA-Tencor (Singapore) Pte Ltd invites a Product Engineer to be the central technical resource across engineering, manufacturing, support, installation, quality, marketing, and field teams as products move through the life cycle.

You will influence the service life cycle by proposing features to optimize serviceability, calibrations, diagnostics, and cost of service, while developing installation packages and service kits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, documenting and solving problems with electro/mechanical assemblies.
• Results-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in multidisciplinary, multicultural teams.

Responsibilities

• Influence Product Service Life Cycle (SLC) to optimize KLA's service business: retrofit, calibrations/diagnostics, Cost of Service, reliability, PM optimization, IP protection.
• Build solid expertise in overall system operation, integration and calibrations/diagnostics.
• Spares obsolescence risk analysis and coordination with Spares Planning team to mitigate service supply chain risks.
• Support FCO, Tech Talk, Service Bulletin, and Best-Known Method deployment activities.
• Lead FRU and Sub-FRU enablement initiatives to improve serviceability and reduce downtime.
• Develop and maintain service kits, installation packages and related field documentation.
• Hands-on integration of Alpha/Beta systems/retrofits and serviceability validation.
• Analyze data to address critical customer issues and propose POA with Engineering.
• Contribute to knowledge databases and service alerts with improvements.
• Perform detailed analysis to resolve issues and drive standardization.
• Prepare service readiness reviews and PLC phase exits.
• Travel up to 25% domestically and abroad.
