Job summary

FLEXTRONICS MANUFACTURING (SINGAPORE) PTE. LTD. seeks a Senior Engineer/Staff Engineer to lead VA/VE initiatives and drive manufacturability improvements across the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain and Suppliers to deliver cost reductions and quality gains in a regulated manufacturing environment. Bachelor in Engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical device manufacturing or industrial product manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in electrical and mechanical engineering.
• Experience across product lifecycle with design-for-manufacturability focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead VA/VE initiatives to improve product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost competitiveness.
• Drive Sustaining Engineering activities, including product enhancements, lifecycle management, and obsolescence mitigation.
• Manage Advanced Sourcing and Supplier Development to strengthen supply chain capability, quality, and cost performance.
• Conduct Failure Analysis, Root Cause Investigations, and implement effective CAPA.
• Apply DFM and DFA principles to optimize product design and manufacturing efficiency.
• Lead Risk Management activities through FMEA, risk assessments, and process control methodologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, yield, and customer satisfaction.
• Deliver cost reduction, productivity improvement, and product lifecycle management solutions within regulated manufacturing environments.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to achieve business and customer objectives.
