Job summary

ARGYLL SCOTT CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Procurement Officer to join a leading life insurer on a 12-month contract. You will set up and run end-to-end procurement from sourcing suppliers to payment, managing requisitions, POs and vendor invoices.

The role requires 3–6 years in procurement, familiarity with source-to-contract and procure-to-pay, and strong stakeholder communication. Hybrid working arrangement offered and exposure to finance and supplier governance.

Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of procurement experience
• Hands-on experience with source-to-contract and procure-to-pay processes
• Experience with purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoice reconciliation and procurement compliance
• Good stakeholder management and communication skills
• Organised and able to manage several activities and deadlines at once
• Experience with Coupa, SAP Ariba or similar platforms is a plus
• Financial services background preferred
• CIPS or a similar qualification is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing activities, from understanding requirements through to supplier selection and contract award
• Turn approved requests into purchase requisitions and purchase orders on time
• Check that purchase orders and payment requests match approved suppliers, contracts, budgets and approval limits
• Work with Finance and business teams to resolve PO, goods receipt, invoice and payment issues
• Monitor spend against contracts, POs and budgets, and flag variances or control gaps
• Keep supplier records, contract details and renewal dates up to date
• Support contract changes, renewals and terminations in line with governance
• Help put new procurement processes and controls in place, and guide the business on how to use them

Our client, a leading life insurer in Singapore, is building out its procurement function and is looking for a Procurement Officer to join the team on a 12-month contract.
