Job summary

OKI Avionics Asia Pte Ltd is seeking a procurement professional responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring timely availability of materials and services to support operations. You will liaise with suppliers and internal teams to manage purchasing, optimize inventory, negotiate prices, and monitor supplier performance to drive cost reductions and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong knowledge of sourcing electronics and mechanical components, familiarity with SAP and MS

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in relevant engineering field with manufacturing experience.
• Strong sourcing skills for electronics and mechanical vendors.
• Knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9000 is preferred.

Job description

The incumbent is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and ensuring the timely availability of materials, components, and services required to support OKI Avionics Asia's operations. They will liaise closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage procurement activities, maintain optimal inventory levels, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and ensure compliance with company policies and quality requirements. The role also supports cost reduction initiatives, supplier performance monitoring, and continuous improvement efforts to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Recognize and evaluate sales, promotional campaigns and other opportunities to secure reduced prices.
• Assess supplier’s products to ensure that they comply with specifications and meet the organization’s quality standards & delivery on-time.
• Analyze and evaluate suppliers’ quotations and negotiate prices and delivery conditions and commit to purchases (within established limits of authority) with terms that are in the organization’s best interest
• Manage & monitor customer forecast, inventory, production schedules, purchase requisitions, orders and other documents to co-ordinate purchasing activities with the organization’s current and anticipated demand for goods and materials
• Monitor the quality and timeliness of materials and goods supplied; follow up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery; and communicate status of orders with internal customers.
• Sourcing for alternative or stockiest availability whenever existing supply fails.
• Ensure Quality, Delivery, Cost and Flexibility are met from the suppliers and vendors
• Liaising with customer on Obsolescence parts handling.

Requirements:

• Singaporeans or Permanent Residents only
• Diploma in Manufacturing/Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical with 4 years of working experience in Manufacturing company/environment or
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics with 2-3 years of working experience in manufacturing company/environment
• Strong sourcing skill of electronics & mechanical vendors/suppliers
• Wide & good rapports relationship of components vendors/suppliers
• Knowledge of AS9100 Aerospace requirement or minimum ISO9000
• Strong Negotiable Power
• Knowledge of Microsoft Package & SAP
• PC Literate – Excel, Power-point
