Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a shift supervisor to lead technicians and contractors on 12-hour day/night shifts in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. You will drive safety, quality, and efficiency while coordinating with production and process teams to meet strategic goals.

You will apply data-driven problem-solving, SOP governance, and AI-enabled tools to optimize operations. Prior experience in semiconductors and proficiency with MS Office are valued.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant engineering/science.
  • Willing to work permanent 12-hour day/night shifts.
  • Demonstrated leadership through academic projects, internships, or activities.
  • Strong problem-solving using 8D, 5 Why, PFMEA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • PROBE internship in a semiconductor company is a plus.
  • Experience on related projects is a plus.
  • Interest in semiconductors and Micron; AI applications are preferred.

  • Explore AI approaches to improve productivity and quality.
  • Assess and plan deployment of new equipment and materials.
  • Integrate AI-enabled tools into daily work to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by sharing AI enhancements.

Responsibilities and Tasks:
  • Lead and manage shift technicians and contractors to achieve operational objectives.

  • Call out and highlight issues on the production line that cause roadblocks to the team meeting operational targets and objectives.

  • Ensure adequate training and compliance with SOPs to eliminate safety and quality risks.

  • Analyze data and perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve equipment issues.

  • Maintain close communication and collaboration with production and process stakeholders to achieve strategic business objectives.

  • Establish and review SOPs to ensure they continue to be relevant and optimized for operation processes.

  • Explore and develop an agentic AI approach to improve productivity and protect quality.

  • Evaluate, promote, and plan new equipment and materials deployment.

  • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.

  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical & Electronics, Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Must be open/willing to work a permanent 12-hour day/night shift schedule as assigned by your supervisor.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience through academic projects, internships, or extracurricular activities, with the ability to build and develop an effective team to tackle operation challenges.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving abilities, knowledge on problemsolvingmethodologieslike 8D, 5 Why analysis, Process FailureModeand Effect Analysis(PFMEA)to deliver effective solutions.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the initiative and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Able to work in clean room environment

  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Demonstrated PROBE internship experience within a semiconductor company is a plus

  • Experience working on projects that align with the key duties of this position is a plus

  • Interestin andknowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.

  • Understanding or interest in AI applications in semiconductor manufacturing, such as predictive analytics, automated defect classification, or data visualization is preferred.

  • Ability to apply baseline digital fluency androle‑appropriate AIliteracy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
