Process Technician — Automation & Continuous Improvement

Job summary

Dyson Singapore is currently seeking a Process Technician to support our automated manufacturing lines at the Pioneer facility. You will monitor line performance, troubleshoot issues, and participate in continuous improvement efforts alongside multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in automated line environments, a relevant ITC/diploma, and the ability to work shifts. Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with data analysis tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3 years of work experience in an automated line environment.
• ITC or Diploma in Mechatronic/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is the minimum requirement.
• Willing to work on shifts and perform overtime when required.
• Ability to distinguish between coloured wires, signals, indicators or labels for safe performance.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing machines and equipment.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiar with data analysis tools (e.g. JMP, Minitab) is an advantage.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production line performance (yield, quality checks) and work with cross-functional teams to sustain performance.
• Perform first-level troubleshooting and root-cause investigations during high rejections and non-conformance incidents.
• Support engineers in resolving daily production issues and continuous improvement activities.
• Carry out engineering builds and trials according to defined procedures.
• Perform basic defect checks and process verification as guided.
• Record process data and observations accurately and on time.
• Contribute to simple process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Provide on-the-job training to operators based on work instructions.
• Follow all safety rules and maintain a clean, organised work area (5S).
