Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering or related field.
• 3 years of relevant experience in Water, Waste Water Treatment or Ultrapure water is preferred; fresh graduates with strong academics are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions for municipal and industrial water treatment projects.
• Prepare process designs and treatment schemes based on client specifications and project requirements.
• Perform engineering calculations, process sizing and equipment selection for water, wastewater and UPW systems.
• Prepare PFDs, P&IDs, hydraulic calculations, equipment datasheets and process descriptions.
• Develop CAPEX and OPEX estimates and value engineering proposals to enhance project competitiveness.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for technical proposals, quotations and equipment specifications.
• Review vendor submissions and assist in equipment selection.
• Participate in tender clarifications, design reviews and client meetings.
• Support Sales and Business Development with technical expertise during customer engagements.
• Ensure all deliverables comply with project specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Provide engineering support during detailed design, procurement, commissioning and testing.
• Assist in troubleshooting process issues and optimize plant performance.

Job Summary

The Process & Proposal Engineer is responsible for developingcost-effective and technically competitive water and wastewater treatmentsolutions for municipal and industrial clients. The role involves processdesign, preparation of technical and commercial proposals, tender submissions,and providing engineering support throughout project execution to ensuresuccessful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare technical and commercial tender submissions for municipal and industrial water treatment projects.


• Prepare process designs and treatment schemes based on client specifications, raw water characteristics and project requirements.


• Perform engineering calculations, process sizing and equipment selection for water, wastewater and ultrapure water treatment systems.


• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), hydraulic calculations, equipment datasheets and process description.


• Develop CAPEX and OPEX estimates, cost analysis and value engineering proposals to enhance project competitiveness.


• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain technical proposals, quotations and equipment specifications.


• Review vendor technical submissions and assist in equipment selection.


• Participate in technical clarifications, tender presentations, design reviews and client meetings.


• Support the Sales and Business Development team by providing technical expertise during customer engagements.


• Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, engineering standards and regulatory requirements.


• Provide engineering support to project teams during detailed design, procurement, commissioning and performance testing.


• Assist in troubleshooting process-related issues and optimize plant performance where required.

Requirements& Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related engineering discipline.


• 3 years relevant working experience in Water, Waste Water Treatment or Ultrapure water industries is preferable. Fresh graduates with strong academic results are welcome to apply.


• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment process design, including:

MembraneSystems, Ion Exchange and EDI Systems, Ultrapure Water (UPW) Systems, Biological,Chemical Treatment Processes.

• Able to perform process calculations, equipment sizing, hydraulic calculations and system mass balance.


• Familiar with preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, equipment datasheets and technical specifications.

• Experience in tender preparation, proposal engineering and EPC projects will be an advantage.


• Knowledge of commissioning, plant start-up and performance testing is an added advantage.


• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with strong attention to detail.


• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary project teams.


• Able to manage multiple proposals and meet tight submission deadlines.


• Proficient in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
