Job summary

VDL ETG Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer to plan and optimize manufacturing/assembly steps from raw materials to completion, including special processes through the Product Quality Plan (PQP). You will define project plans for assembly, transfer projects from customers, and resolve assembly issues to ensure on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical or Precision Engineering with 2+ years in semiconductor process engineering, and possess

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years as a process engineer in semiconductor or similar.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel functions.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Transfer of projects, tech, and systems from customer to VDL for new product development.
• Define and establish project plans for assembly to meet on-time delivery.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new assembly processes.
• Identify facilities and supplies required for assembly.
• Resolve technical issues in assembly to ensure smooth production.
• Manage technical changes to meet customer requirements.
• Implement process improvements for cost effectiveness.
• Support continuous improvement programs.

Purpose:

Strategic planning and develop cost effective & low risk manufacturing/assembly process steps/planning from raw material to completion including special processes through Product Quality Plan (PQP).

Key Area of Responsibilities:

• Transfer of Project, Technology, System from customer to VDL for New product development
• Define and establish Project Plan for Assembly to meet on time delivery
• Feasibility study for New Assembly
• Identify the facilities/supplies required for the assembly
• Define and establish Project Plan for Assembly to meet on time delivery
• Resolve technical issues in assembly to ensure smooth production
• Manage technical changes to fulfill customer requirement
• Implement improvements to processes for cost effectiveness
• Support and participate in company continuous improvement program

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical or Precision Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a process engineer in the Semiconductor industry or equivalent.
• Mechanical and electrical workmanship
• Experience in working in cleanroom will be an advantage
• Good problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel functions
• Good communication skills
