Job summary

VDL ETG Singapore is seeking a process engineer to plan and optimize cost-effective manufacturing steps for semiconductor assembly, from material to finished product, aligned with PQP requirements.

You will transfer projects from customers to VDL, define project plans to ensure on-time delivery, and conduct feasibility studies for new assembly. The role emphasizes problem-solving, Excel proficiency, and strong communication in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical or Precision Engineering or other relevant discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a process engineer in the Semiconductor industry or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel functions
• Good communication skills

Strategic planning and develop cost effective & low risk manufacturing/assembly process steps/planning from raw material to completion including special processes through Product Quality Plan (PQP).

Key Area of Responsibilities:

• Transfer of Project, Technology, System from customer to VDL for New product development
• Define and establish Project Plan for Assembly to meet on time delivery
• Feasibility study for New Assembly
• Identify the facilities/supplies required for the assembly
• Define and establish Project Plan for Assembly to meet on time delivery
• Resolve technical issues in assembly to ensure smooth production
• Manage technical changes to fulfill customer requirement
• Implement improvements to processes for cost effectiveness
• Support and participate in company continuous improvement program

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical or Precision Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a process engineer in the Semiconductor industry or equivalent.
• Mechanical and electrical workmanship
• Experience in working in cleanroom will be an advantage
• Good problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel functions
• Good communication skills
