Job summary

Chevron Oronite on Jurong Island, Singapore, is inviting applications for a Process Engineer position. The role is based at the Jurong Island plant with relocation not offered within Chevron parameters and Singapore payroll terms.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, process optimization, HAZOP studies, capital project initiation, and basic process design to improve plant reliability and capacity. Requires a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering and up to 10 years of relevant industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 10 years of relevant experience in refinery, petrochemical or chemical industries are preferred.
• Strong communication across levels and functions.
• Knowledge of process design and engineering.
• Familiarity with ASME & API codes & standards.
• Knowledge of HAZOP, Root Cause Analysis, SPC and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Supports operations with process troubleshooting and improvements to enhance plant reliability and capacity.
• Coordinates and participates in HAZOP studies for process safety.
• Develops process improvement proposals for project implementation.
• Conducts plant trials for improvements and raw material qualification.
• Initiates and manages capital projects.
• Performs basic process engineering design.
• Monitors process trends and product quality for conformance.
