Job summary

Chevron Oronite on Jurong Island, Singapore is seeking a Process Engineer to support operations, troubleshoot, and drive process improvements to improve plant reliability and capacity.

You will participate in HAZOP studies, develop process improvement proposals, conduct plant trials, and oversee capital projects while ensuring product quality and compliance with ASME & API codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• Up to 10 years of relevant work experience in refinery/petrochemical/chemical industries.
• Ability to communicate effectively across staff and functions.
• Knowledge in process design and engineering; familiar with ASME & API codes & standards.
• Knowledge in HAZOP, Root Cause Analysis, SPC and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Supports operations with process troubleshooting and improvements to boost reliability and capacity.
• Coordinates and participates in HAZOP studies to manage process safety.
• Develops process improvement proposals for project implementation.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Supports operations in the areas of process troubleshooting and process improvements to improve plant reliability and increase plant capacity

• Coordinates and participates in HAZOP studies to manage process safety in the plant

• Develops process improvement proposals for project implementation and execution

• Performs plant trials for process improvements and for raw material qualification

• Initiates and manages capital projects

• Performs basic Process Engineering Design

• Monitors process trends and product quality to ensure product quality conformance

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering

• Upto10 years of relevant work experience in the refinery, petrochemical or chemical industry

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and across functional groups

• Knowledge in Process Design and Engineering

• Familiar with ASME & API codes & standards

• Knowledge in HAZOP, Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and engineering tools

Work Location

Selected candidate will be based in Chevron Oronite plant on Jurong Island, Singapore.

Relocation Options:

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
