Job summary

Thales Group in Singapore seeks a technically competent Process Engineer to support manufacturing technology operations. You will maintain process stability, drive continuous improvement, and apply Lean and Six Sigma methods across high-volume production environments.

The role focuses on reducing waste, improving quality, and ensuring compliant processes through data-driven analysis, PFMEA, DOE, and SPC. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise throughput and cost performance.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis tools is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to production operations to maintain stable and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Investigate process deviations, troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor KPIs including process capability, yield, scrap rate, cycle time and OEE.
• Support production escalation, containment and recovery activities to minimise disruptions.
• Implement sustainable solutions to recurring process issues and improve robustness.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, productivity and cost performance.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles and structured improvement methodologies to reduce waste.
• Analyse data to identify performance trends and evaluate effectiveness of actions.
• Contribute to digitalisation and Industry 4.0 initiatives where applicable.
• Develop and execute process qualification and validation plans; prepare technical reports.
• Conduct DOE, process capability studies and statistical analyses.
• Verify performance against quality, reliability and production requirements before release.
• Support audits and maintain compliance with quality standards.
• Support product and process reliability testing and improvement activities.
• Prepare and maintain SOPs, work instructions and process specifications.
