Job summary

Hudson RPO Asia Pacific is seeking a Process Engineer (Chemical Manufacturer) in Singapore to monitor, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes, driving productivity and quality improvements. You will investigate upsets, implement corrective actions, and support continuous improvement with data analysis and best practices.

Collaborating with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS teams, you will ensure safe, compliant, and reliable production while promoting a strong safety culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process Engineering or related field.
• 1–5 years in chemical manufacturing or batch/continuous processing.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of process safety principles and risk assessments such as HAZOP.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency.

Our Client is a renowned organization in the Chemical industry with a strong presence worldwide. They are looking for Process Engineer (Chemical Manufacturer) as part of their expansion plans in Singapore, reporting to the Process Manufacturing Manager

THE ROLE

The Process Engineer (Chemical Manufacturer) is responsible for:

• Monitor, analyze, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency.
• Investigate process upsets, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through process evaluations, data analysis, and implementation of best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and EHS teams to ensure smooth plant operations and reliable production performance.
• Ensure compliance with process safety standards, operating procedures, and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 1-5 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, petrochemical, specialty chemicals, or batch/continuous processing environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve process-related challenges.
• Knowledge of process safety principles, risk assessments, HAZOP, or process hazard management.
• Certifications such as Six Sigma, HAZOP, or other engineering-related qualifications will be advantageous.
