Job summary

Neste in Singapore's Tuas Refinery seeks a Mechanical Field Engineer to lead mechanical maintenance and supervise contractors within the plant. You will promote a Prevention-First culture and partner with Asset Management, Operations, Technical and HSSEQ to raise reliability and reduce downtime.

Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years in refinery or petrochemical maintenance is required. Proficiency with SAP/CMMS, reading P&IDs and isometrics, and guiding teams on safety,

Qualifications

• Education: Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 7 years of relevant experience in the refinery and petrochemical industry.
• Experience in Maintenance, Projects, and Turnaround execution.
• Skilled in SAP and CMMS for maintenance execution.
• Knowledgeable with international standards and petrochemical plant equipment.
• Strong in maintenance planning and reliability methodologies.
• Proficient at reading P&IDs and isometrics.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities including RCA basics.
• Basic knowledge of reliability methodologies.
• Familiar with vibration monitoring and laser alignment techniques.
• Ability to read pump curves and basic compressor maintenance.
• Safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Execution: ensure all static & rotating equipment maintenance aligns with standards.
• Field Services: lead frontline troubleshooting and cross-discipline coordination.
• Day-to-Day Operations: manage inventory, subcontractor quality, and team performance; drive RCA and training.
