Job summary

Aster is seeking a senior leader to oversee mechanical maintenance in a petrochemical facility in Singapore. You will supervise a team of technicians, coordinate preventive, corrective and turnaround activities, and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards to keep plant operations running smoothly.

You will lead troubleshooting, coordinate with Reliability Engineering, and drive continuous improvement in maintenance planning and execution.

Qualifications

Must have hands-on experience with rotating equipment and piping systems.
Ability to read mechanical drawings, P&IDs and technical manuals.
Strong leadership and frontline supervision experience in maintenance.
Experience in planned, corrective and turnaround maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and deploy mechanical technicians in preventive, corrective, breakdown and turnaround activities.
Set daily priorities, allocate work, monitor progress and ensure safe, high-quality execution.
Oversee overhaul, inspection, testing and reinstatement of rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, gearboxes, valves, etc.).
Ensure compliance with OE requirements, process safety, permit-to-work and lock-out/tag-out.
Verify measurements, acceptance criteria and hand-back readiness to Operations.
Lead troubleshooting and coordinate with Reliability Engineering, Inspection and vendors as needed.
Contribute to root-cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
Support planning meetings with input on resources, constraints and plan quality.
Coordinate daily maintenance execution with Operations, Planning and contractors.
Ensure SAP work orders, findings and history are completed accurately.
Coach technicians and address performance or non-compliance issues.
