Job summary

Cathay Bank Singapore is seeking a Private Banking Operations Specialist to handle settlements of PB investment products and related tasks. The role covers equities, bonds, mutual funds, structured products, and DCIs, with Avaloq knowledge an advantage.

Responsibilities include settlements, corporate actions, reconciliations, client statements, SWIFT payments, remittance issues, and cross-functional coordination to mitigate operational risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 5 years’ related banking experience, PWM Operations preferred.
• Proficient in English and Chinese for liaising with HQ.

Responsibilities

• Handle settlements of all wealth management products (equities, bonds, mutual funds, structured products, DCIs).
• Manage corporate actions, position reconciliation and client statements.
• Be trained to be a trainer for the new system and participate in UAT.
• Suggest improvements to operational workflows to reduce risk.
• Oversee SWIFT Alliance System and SWIFT payments release.
• Coordinate remittance and deposit issues and liaise with stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The role is responsible in handling all operational matters related to Private Banking, including settlements of all PB investment products, such as but not limited to bonds, equities, mutual funds structured products, DCIs etc. Good avaloq knowledge will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling the settlement of all wealth management products, including equities, bonds, mutual funds, structured products, structured deposits etc.
• Handling of Corporate Actions, position reconciliation and client statements
• Trained to be trainer to the new system, while participating in systems UAT
• Making constructive and practical suggestions to enhance operational workflow and reduce operational risks
• Management of SWIFT Alliance System, including releasing of SWIFT payment
• Management of issues related to remittances and deposits
• Co-ordination with other stakeholders to resolve issues
• Carries out other duties as and when assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ related working experience within the Banking industry, particularly in PWM Operations space.
• Proficient in spoken and written English/Chinese to liaise with Chinese speaking headquarter counterparties.
