Job summary

F5 Networks Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software for enhancements to applications and systems used across local, networked, mobile, cloud-based or web-based platforms.

The role collaborates with Product, Marketing, Sales and Customer Support, analyzes requirements, tests components, and drives feature delivery while owning medium to large platform initiatives and providing technical leadership to the team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree required.
• Ability to explain advanced issues to non-engineers clearly.
• Raises the bar for technical knowledge through work output and process.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales and other engineering teams to consider all aspects during design and development.
• Analyze requirements, test and integrate application components; ensure improvements are implemented.
• Own medium to large platform initiatives and provide technical leadership as primary technical contact.

The Software Development Engineering job family designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for enhancements to existing and new applications/systems used in local, networked, mobile, cloud-based or web-based computer programs for purposes of commercialization. Using current programming language and technologies, uses code to modify existing software applications to add new functions, adapt to new hardware, improve performance or enhance usability.

• Partners with Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Support and other engineering functions to ensure every aspect of a product is taken into consideration during design and development


• Analyzes requirements, tests and integrates application components and ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented


• Applies broad expertise and knowledge in a highly specialized field, or multiple related disciplines


• Owns medium to large platform initiatives, providing technical leadership as the primary technical contact, owning design and implementation of features to drive success


• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to capture requirements and enable successful adoption for new products and features


• Provides technical leadership by proposing new approaches and technologies and driving the due diligence process to determine viability


• Works on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles
