Nicoll Curtin is seeking a technically driven Principal Engineer to own the architecture and engineering execution of a next‑generation quantum security platform. This hands‑on leadership role spans backend, frontend, distributed infrastructure, and cybersecurity.

In this role you will shape platform strategy, set architectural standards, and guide teams to build secure, scalable, enterprise applications. Expect to lead cross‑functional delivery in a fast‑moving security domain.

Qualifications

• 8 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong backend skills in Go, Node.js, Python or Rust.
• Frontend experience with React/TypeScript.
• Experience designing distributed systems and APIs (REST/GraphQL/gRPC).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Define technical blueprint and architectural principles for a multi-layer security platform.
• Lead scalable, modular software components across the stack.
• Drive API design, data modelling, and cryptographic asset management.
• Guide security integration, threat modelling, and secure coding practices.
• Mentor engineers and align architecture with business goals.
