Job summary

Grab Singapore is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for FundsCore to drive the architecture and delivery of regional payments platforms powering wallets, online checkouts, and merchant payouts across Southeast Asia. You will design scalable, fault‑tolerant services with strong security and regulatory compliance.

Based in Singapore, you will partner with Product, Risk, Compliance, Finance and country teams, set the technical vision, mentor engineers, and lead multi‑quarter initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years in software, including 5+ years in senior/lead roles.
• Advanced in distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Proficient in Java, Go or Python with strong testing discipline.
• Deep expertise in security/compliance: PCI DSS, encryption, privacy, KYC/AML.
• Significant cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), multi-region/multi-tenant.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of mission-critical payment systems with high availability and low latency.
• Define core payments architecture and drive platformization with stable APIs and data models.
• Build resilient integrations with card networks, banks, APMs, and real-time rails.
• Champion reliability, observability, security, compliance, scalability, and cost; lead incidents.
• Lead regionalization across currency, localization, regulation, and rollout strategies.
• Mentor senior staff, elevate engineering quality, and drive best practices.
