Job summary

Grab is seeking a senior software engineer to design, build, and maintain the FundsCore Payments Core platform and data pipelines. You will work with engineers, designers, product managers, and operations to deliver scalable solutions in a dynamic fintech environment at Grab One-North, Singapore.

The role emphasizes payments domain expertise or rapid learning, strong distributed systems skills, DevOps practices, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms and data structures.
• 4+ years of software development with Golang or Java; quick learner if needed.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and data processing.
• Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS) and DevOps practices.
• Experience in Payments domain or willingness to learn quickly.
• Able to apply Generative AI to enhance productivity and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable payments core platforms and data pipelines.
• Write clean, testable, and maintainable code for complex systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver features.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure documentation, and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot issues, implement long-term fixes and improvements.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction.
• Maintain system reliability with observability and on-call rotations.
