Job summary

Choon Huat Engineering is seeking a Principal Engineer to strengthen engineering capabilities, drive product development, and support the transition into innovative, sustainable power solutions. You will oversee the technical performance of generators, BESS, cables, and distribution boards, while mentoring engineers and guiding product improvements.

You will explore new opportunities in power solutions, liaise with management and external partners, and assist sales with technical input.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (or related field).
At least 5–7 years of experience in power solutions (generators, BESS, distribution systems).
Strong technical knowledge of power generation, storage, and distribution systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee technical performance of generators, BESS, power cables, and distribution boards.
Provide leadership to engineers and technicians.
Evaluate and recommend product improvements for reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Explore and assess new product opportunities in power solutions.
Bridge between management, engineering teams, and external partners/vendors.
Support sales and BD teams with technical input during client discussions.
