Job summary

TALENT FIRST PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced engineer to oversee the technical performance and improvement of diesel generators, BESS and power distribution systems.

You will lead evaluations, testing and feasibility studies while guiding engineering teams and coordinating with suppliers to meet safety and regulatory standards. The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, system improvements and collaboration with sales to provide technical recommendations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in generators, power generation or power distribution.
• Strong knowledge of diesel generators and electrical power systems.
• Experience guiding engineers and technicians.
• Hands-on troubleshooting, testing and system improvements.
• Familiarity with Singapore electrical safety standards is advantageous.
• BESS experience is preferred.

Employment Details:

• Working Days: Monday to Saturday (Half-Day Saturday)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm | Saturday: 8.00am to 12.00pm

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the technical performance, maintenance and improvement of power generation and distribution equipment, including diesel generators, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), power cables and distribution boards.
• Lead technical evaluations, product testing and feasibility studies for new power solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve product reliability, efficiency, safety and overall performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams and technicians.
• Work closely with suppliers, vendors and external partners on product development and technical requirements.
• Support sales and business development teams with technical consultations and product recommendations.
• Ensure engineering activities comply with relevant safety, quality and regulatory standards.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in generators, power generation, power distribution systems or related power solutions.
• Strong technical knowledge of diesel generators, electrical power systems or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
• Experience leading or providing technical guidance to engineers and technicians.
• Hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting, testing, technical evaluations or system improvements.
• Ability to assess equipment performance and recommend technical improvements.
• Knowledge of Singapore electrical safety standards and relevant regulations is advantageous.
• Prior BESS experience is preferred.
• Candidates with relevant generator or power industry experience are encouraged to apply.
