Job summary

Public Service Division is seeking a Principal Manager (Building) to lead end-to-end delivery of community building projects, from design to handover. The role drives multidisciplinary teams, ensures high standards of governance, and collaborates with internal and external partners to align vision with residents' needs.

The incumbent will oversee budgets, procurement, and strategic direction for consultants, while mentoring project managers and ensuring timely reporting and archiving for audits.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex building projects with multi-stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to align design, construction, and facilities management activities.
• Familiarity with government procurement and financial procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the review and coordination of building, common space, and interior design with key stakeholders.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams from design through completion with governance across stages.
• Provide strategic direction to consultants to meet schedule and budget objectives.
• Oversee funding approvals and timely status reports to management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate design briefs and procure consultants/contractors; oversee predevelopment surveys.
• Identify risks and implement mitigation; oversee budgets and variation orders.
• Oversee project closure and archiving for audit and records.
