Job summary

Tengah General and Community Hospital is developing a comprehensive audiology program within its new Tengah Health Campus. The role involves planning services, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and mentoring staff to build a high-quality clinical team.

The ideal candidate holds an Audiology degree (Honors) with advanced qualifications and extensive hospital experience. Strong analytical, communication and IT skills are essential for success in this fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Audiology (Honors) required.
• CCC-A/CCP/CAC or equivalent preferred (Singapore or other countries).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience preferred, ideally in a hospital or medical setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, written and presentation skills; team-oriented and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to planning audiology services including space, workflow and manpower.
• Collaborate with clinical, allied health, operational and admin stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach junior staff to support career development.
• Assess and manage referred audiology patients and implement treatment plans.
• Provide specialized audiology services (Paediatric, Electrophysiological assessment, Ear implant management, Vestibular assessment, Basic tinnitus assessment).
• Document clinical assessments accurately in audiology records.
• Network with NUHS healthcare practitioners.
• Ensure compliance with clinical and service standards.
• Assist with administrative duties as assigned.

Job Description:

• Contribute to planning of Audiology services for Tengah General and Community Hospital, including space, design, workflow and manpower considerations.
• Collaborate with clinical, allied health, operational and administrative stakeholders in planning of Audiology services.
• Take an active role in mentoring and coaching junior staff for the purpose of developing and enhancing their careers within the organization.
• Assess and manage patients referred for audiology independently and implement appropriate treatment plans, applying specialised audiology knowledge and skills.
• Able to perform at least one specialized audiology services competently and independently: Paediatric Audiology, Electrophysiological assessment, Ear implant management, Vestibular Assessment, Basic Tinnitus Assessment & Management.
• Document patient clinical assessment in audiology records accurately.
• Network strategically with healthcare practitioners in NUHS.
• Comply with clinical and service standards.
• Assist with administrative duties as tasked

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor in Audiology (Honors). A Masters in Audiology and A PhD in Audiology is optional.
• CCC-A/CCP/CAC/registered/certified audiologist (in other countries or with the Society of Audiology Professionals Singapore) is preferred
• Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience preferred, preferably within a medical institution or hospital.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment, quick thinker and an effective problem solver.
• Ability to prioritise workload, be well organised and multi-task in a smart and timely fashion.
• Possess strong analytical, communication, written and presentation skills.
• Team-oriented with a high degree of initiative and independence.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relations with different stakeholders.
• Proactive attitude and determination to ensure required outcomes are achieved and takes responsibility.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
