Job summary

HTX is Singapore's Science and Technology agency delivering AI-enabled public safety solutions. We seek a Principal Engineer (AI & Data Engineering) to architect and lead our scalable HTX AI Data Platform, driving data-driven decisions across Home Teams with strong governance and security.

You will lead data architecture, data pipelines, and governance, collaborating with AI product teams and PMCs to deliver enterprise-grade AI solutions while aligning with IM requirements and cloud ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, or related fields.
• Minimum 8 years of experience, with 3+ years in leadership.
• Strong experience in AI Data Engineering, data management and governance.
• Proven ability to design data systems and architecture for enterprise use.
• Experience across cloud data services and big data tools.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead scalable HTX AI Data Platform & Engineering initiatives.
• Define a cohesive data strategy aligned with AI goals.
• Oversee data integration from multiple sources with quality controls.
• Build and manage data pipelines for AI products and applications.
• Establish data governance, security, and IM8 policy compliance.
• Guide the team to deliver platforms within timelines.
• Stay updated on AI data engineering tech and promote adoption.
• Collaborate with AI Product teams, PMCs and other stakeholders.
• Ensure ongoing operations, maintenance and technology refresh.
