Qualifications

About the role

The Thought Tailor is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary/ Secondary English Teacher to help students build a strong foundation in English and develop the skills and confidence needed to excel in their studies. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young learners and is committed to making learning engaging, effective, and meaningful.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the Singapore primary/ secondary school curriculum.

• Teach essential language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, composition writing, and oral communication.

• Develop students' ability to express their ideas clearly, organise their thoughts, and write effectively.

• Prepare and refine teaching materials, lesson notes, practice questions, and other learning resources.

• Assess students' work and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and improvement.

• Provide individualised guidance and consultations to address students' learning needs.

• Monitor students' progress and adapt teaching approaches to support different learning abilities.

• Collaborate with the team to develop and improve curriculum materials and teaching strategies.

About you

• Strong command of English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Good understanding of the Singapore primary/ secondary English syllabus and examination requirements.
