The Thought Tailor is hiring a passionate Primary/Secondary English Teacher to help students build a strong foundation in English and develop confidence to excel. The role focuses on engaging lessons, clear explanations, and supporting diverse learning needs.

Ideal candidates have a love for teaching young learners, strong English proficiency, and ability to plan and assess effectively within the Singapore curriculum.

Qualifications

• Strong command of English with clear written and verbal skills.
• Knowledge of Singapore primary/secondary English syllabus and exam requirements.
• Ability to explain concepts clearly and engage young learners.
• Passion for teaching and building student confidence.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Prior primary/secondary teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the Singapore curriculum.
• Teach grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and oral communication.
• Develop students' ability to express ideas clearly and write effectively.
• Prepare materials, notes, practice questions, and resources.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide individual guidance to address learning needs.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches for different learners.
• Collaborate with the team to improve curriculum materials and strategies.
