The Thought Tailor is seeking a passionate GP teacher to guide JC students through critical thinking, essay writing, comprehension, and current affairs in preparation for A-Levels. You will design engaging lessons, provide personalised guidance, and monitor progress to help students achieve their academic goals.

With strong English, clear explanations, and the ability to work both independently and with a team, you will contribute to TTT's rigorous curriculum and high-quality learning resources

Qualifications

• Strong command of English and writing; analytical thinking and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level General Paper syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and guide students in developing well-reasoned arguments.

About the role

The Thought Tailor is seeking a passionate and dedicated General Paper (GP) Teacher to help JC students strengthen their critical thinking, develop effective writing skills, and excel in their A-Level examinations. The ideal candidate is committed to delivering engaging lessons and providing personalised guidance to support students in achieving their academic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging GP lessons covering essay writing, comprehension, Application Questions (AQ), and current affairs.
• Teach students to develop clear arguments, evaluate perspectives critically, and apply relevant examples to their essays.
• Develop and refine teaching materials, lesson notes, practice questions, and other learning resources.
• Assess students' work and provide constructive, detailed feedback to improve their writing and answering techniques.
• Provide consultations and individualised support to address students' learning needs.
• Keep up to date with current affairs and relevant social, political, economic, and global issues.
• Monitor students' progress and adapt teaching approaches to support their development.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain the quality and consistency of TTT's curriculum and teaching resources.

About you

• Strong command of English, with excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Good understanding of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level General Paper syllabus and assessment requirements.
• Ability to explain complex ideas clearly and guide students in developing well-reasoned arguments.
• Passion for teaching and helping students reach their potential.
• Strong organisational skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Prior GP teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage.
