Job summary

Adecco Personnel Pte Ltd in Singapore is partnering with a premium preschool to hire a Preschool Music Educator to deliver an engaging music literacy curriculum for Playgroup to Kindergarten 2, covering singing, percussion, keyboards, recorder and violin.

Diploma or professional music certification is required, with competence in at least two instruments. Prior classroom teaching with children is preferred; this is a permanent position with fixed working hours and salary plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• Diploma or professional certification in Music.
• Competent in at least 2 musical instruments; solfege/ Suzuki knowledge is a plus.
• Prior classroom teaching experience with children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach PG to K2 music lessons including singing, percussion, keyboards, recorder and violin.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate music activities aligned with curriculum.
• Manage the classroom to support each child's learning and development.
• Monitor and document children's progress with notes and records.
• Support programme implementation and other duties as needed.

About The Opportunity

• Adecco is partnering with a leading premium preschool centre to seek a passionate music professional to bring music to life for children from Playgroup to Kindergarten 2 through an engaging and comprehensive music literacy curriculum.
• Apply your instrumental skills and classroom teaching experience to nurture children’s musical abilities, creativity and development.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach preschool music lessons from PG to K2,covering singing, percussion, keyboards, recorder and violin for upper levels.
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate music activities aligned with the centre’s curriculum, policies and educational approach.
• Manage and supervise the classroom, creating a positive learning environment that supports each child’s educational and developmental needs.
• Monitor and document children’s learning progress using checklists, progress notes, photographs and anecdotal records.
• Support programme implementation and carry out additional duties according to the centre’s operational needs.

The Talent

• Diploma or professional certification in Music, such as ABRSM qualifications in Piano, Music Theory or Music.
• Competent in at least 2 musical instruments, such as piano, violin, ukulele or guitar; solfege, Suzuki violin and keyboard knowledge are advantages.
• Prior classroom teaching experience and experience teaching music to children is preferred.
