WHIZZ KIDZ PTE. LTD. is seeking a Freelance Music Instructor in Singapore to teach children aged 6-12 through hands-on, interactive music classes. You will lead 1.5-hour sessions focused on rhythm, singing, creativity, listening, and movement, using provided training and materials.

The role requires weekly availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdays for a minimum 6-month term, and a willingness to travel to school locations while maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• Basic music theory knowledge (steady beat, tempo, dynamics, simple note values, pitch high/low).
• Comfortable leading singing, movement, and rhythm games for groups of children.
• Strong classroom presence: clear communication, patience, positivity, and managing behaviour kindly but firmly.
• Reliable and professional in school settings.
• Willing to travel to various school locations across Singapore.
• Willing to undergo a background check.
• Able to commit to weekly Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdays for a minimum term of 6 months.

Responsabilités

• Deliver 1.5-hour sessions using our lesson materials (rhythm + singing + movement + creativity).
• Lead group singing and confidence-building activities, including warm-ups, echo singing, call-and-response, and kid-friendly songs.
• Run rhythm and instrument activities with simple percussion instruments and occasional DIY instruments.
• Support creativity and collaboration by helping kids create rhythms, simple compositions, music stories, and performances.
• Create a safe, positive learning environment; manage energy, encourage participation, and keep sessions organised and fun.

Are you warm, energetic, and confident leading kids in music through play? We’re hiring aFreelance Music Instructorto teach children ages6-12through a fun, structured music class focused onrhythm, singing, creativity, listening, and movement.

Lessons are hands-on and highly interactive (think: body percussion, rhythm games, pop/classic sing-alongs, simple instrument play, and group music-making).Training and lesson materials will be provided.

Availability required: Weekly commitment; excluding school holidays)

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate engaging music classes:Deliver 1.5-hour sessions using our lesson materials (rhythm + singing + movement + creativity).
• Lead group singing & confidence-building activities:Vocal warm-ups, echo singing, call-and-response, and child-friendly songs.
• Run rhythm and instrument activities:Guide students using simple percussion instruments (shakers, tambourines, claves, drums, boomwhackers) and occasional DIY instruments.
• Support creativity & collaboration:Help kids create rhythms, simple compositions, music stories, and partner/group performances.
• Create a safe, positive learning environment:Manage classroom energy, encourage participation, and keep sessions organised and fun.

Key Requirements

• Basic music theory knowledge(steady beat, tempo, dynamics, simple note values, pitch high/low).
• Comfortable leadingsinging, movement, and rhythm gamesfor groups of children.
• Strong classroom presence: clear communication, patience, positivity, and the ability to manage behaviour kindly but firmly.
• Reliable and professional in school settings.
• Willing to travel to various school locations across Singapore.
• Willing to undergo a background check (required for school settings).
• Able to commit toweekly Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Thursdaysfor aminimum term of 6 months(excluding school holidays).

Bonus (not required):

• Ability to playkeyboard, guitar, or ukuleleproficiently (useful for pitch support, accompaniment, and games).
• Prior experience teaching children (music, enrichment, CCA, tuition, etc.).

Interview & Selection Process

Candidates will undergo a3-stageprocess:

• Initial Screening & Group Stage (Video Call) - Short interview + group interaction.
• Face-to-Face Session & Trial Lesson Segment - In-person meeting, training, and a short demo delivery.
• Tryout Class (Final Review) - Conduct a supervised class session for final evaluation.

• Full training in lesson delivery and classroom management will be provided.
