Job summary

MindChamp Preschool at Holland V is hiring a part-time kitchen assistant to prepare breakfast and distribute meals to classrooms. You will manage food portions, assist with lunch distribution, and support daily kitchen operations in a preschool setting.

The role requires WSQ Food Safety Level 1 certificate, ability to stand for long periods, and the stamina to lift kitchen supplies. Monday to Friday, 7:00 am–12:00 noon, 25 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Experience in preschool or institutional kitchen operations preferred.
• Able to work Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 12:00 noon (25 hours per week).
• Comfortable with prolonged standing and lifting kitchen supplies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast for children and deliver to classrooms.
• Fill and distribute classroom drinking-water jugs.
• Wash, dry and store breakfast dishes and utensils.
• Cut and portion fruit and deliver to classrooms.
• Prepare children's plates, cutlery and lunch tubs for distribution.
• Prepare simple lunches for teachers; children’s lunches are catered.
• Portion and distribute catered lunches to the classrooms.
• Coordinate weekly grocery orders for children and teachers.
• Clean and sanitise the kitchen, work surfaces and equipment; follow food safety procedures.

• Comfortable with prolonged standing and reasonable lifting of kitchen supplies.
• Able to work independently, manage time and cooperate with teaching staff.
