Qualifications
- Significant experience in support engineering or similar roles.
- Strong troubleshooting across APIs, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and integrations.
- Ability to read logs/telemetry, reproduce issues, test hypotheses, and guide investigations.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues for Premium Support customers, including API failures and production incidents.
- Own the technical response by analyzing logs, testing hypotheses, and isolating failure domains.
- Serve as a trusted expert on OpenAI products and systems for strategic customers.
- Manage incident response, coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate clearly during incidents.
- Document customer architecture, integrations, and workload constraints for cross-team use.
- Prepare for launches and events with runbooks and heightened monitoring where needed.
- Contribute to postmortems, corrective actions, and preventive improvements.
